Desktop Penguin path

No Proton shim required—runs like a typical native binary with Vulkan acceleration.

  1. chmod +x the AppImage (or decompress tarball).
  2. Install distro packages for Vulkan + 32-bit audio libs only if launcher complains.
  3. Drop ROM next to binaries or wherever the wizard prefers.
  4. Wayland/X11 both supported; switch if fullscreen capture breaks on exotic compositors.
