Play Twilight Princess portably

Switch to Desktop Mode, fetch the Linux build, pin it to Gaming Mode afterward, enable gyro aiming for bow sections.

Prep

  • Desktop Mode · stable Wi-Fi · 8GB Deck models still work but close background apps.
  • Copy your GameCube image to Downloads or ~/Documents/Roms beforehand.

Install Flow

  1. Open Firefox in Desktop Mode → download the Linux tarball/AppImage labeled for x86_64.
  2. Mark executable · right-click Properties → Executable if needed · launch once to unpack caches.
  3. Authorize ROM: when prompted browse to your backup image and let Dusk validate.
  4. Gyro Aim: Settings → Controls → Gyro Aim → choose hold or always-on.
  5. Gaming Mode: Add non-Steam game pointing at launcher for quick resume.
